The soldiers' dream by terribly-dark-lies, literature

The soldiers' dream
Ashes to ashes; dust to dust.
Bodies burn and iron rusts.
War and peace, it never ends
And so let the cycle begin again.
Send them out, the soldiermen,
The candid lovers,our dearest friends.
Send them out to pock-marked feilds;
Unto their graves, the blood sheds real.
And with bullet wounds march them back,
When all their minds have split and cracked.
With the images they can't forget,
The haunting sounds and their regret.
Amongst the sorrows and lives unspared,
"This is [their] dream, and your nightmare."
I am the hope of the universe! I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace! I am the protector of the innocent...light of the darkness! I am truth...ALLY TO GOOD!!! NIGHTMARE TO YOU!!!!
